Join the 2018 Revolution of Values!

#RevolutionOfValues 2018 has launched! On this 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and the 51st anniversary of his rousing speech, “Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence,” we are inspired to use our creative gifts to overcome “the giant triplets of racism, materialism, and militarism.”

We call on artists, creative organizers, concerned citizens, and all community members to join together from April 2-8, 2018, to draw inspiration from and breathe new life into the prophetic words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., strengthening our commitment to speak truth to power and sparking creative action in the year ahead.

Please go to the #RevolutionOfValues page to download the free Toolkit from the United States Department of Arts and Culture. Any individual or organization can take part in this week of creative action by hosting an event and/or sharing images or texts via social media inspired by Dr. King’s historic speech. In the #RevolutionOfValues Toolkit you’ll find detailed instructions on how to: read the speech in public, host a #RevolutionOfValues Open Mic or Story Circle, make #RevolutionOfValues art, renew Dr. King’s words through poetry, and more.
