NACF Welcomes New Program Coordinator

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to our newest staffer, Laura Cales! Laura joined the Native Arts and Cultures Foundation as Program Coordinator in December 2016. She coordinates the administration and logistics of NACF programs, with particular emphasis on the Mentor Artist Fellowship. In addition, she provides support with program-related communications and reporting.

Laura earned a Master of Arts in Art History with a specialization in Modern Art and Critical Theory from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Wright State University. She has an extensive background working with nonprofit arts organizations, and most recently managed internal operations for the Biennial of the Americas in Denver, Colorado. She is especially interested in the ways in which nonprofit organizations activate and engage communities through artistic and educational projects and programs. Laura currently lives in Portland, Oregon, and is a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation.
