ArtPlace America and PolicyLink have published a new paper, Creating Change through Arts, Culture, and Equitable Development: A Policy and Practice Primer. The Native Arts and Cultures Foundation is pleased to share this resource, signifying the growing support for movements across the United States which focus on equitable development and community-centered arts and cultures.
We are especially proud to see the following Native advocates recognized for their incredible work to advance Native arts and cultures through case studies in this report:
- Native Arts and Cultures Foundation Fellow Vicky Holt Takamine’s work with the PA’I Foundation – developing infrastructure and community investment around Native artists and culture bearers
- Our friends at the First Peoples Fund – providing professional development support to low-income Native artists
- The Alaska Native Heritage Center – developing culturally rich programming to benefit Native youth
