Join Us for First Friday with Brenda Mallory

Please join us for Art, Inspiration, Conversation and Light Refreshments

When: Friday, April 6th, from 5:00 to 8:00pm

What: NACF’s first Vancouver Native Artist Series event! For our inaugural First Friday, we are exhibiting a powerful installation piece, Recurring Chapters in the Book of Inevitable Outcomes This stunning work is gracing our offices only between exhibit dates and – once it finds a permanent home, which it will – you may not get another chance!

Who: Brenda Mallory, the Portland Artist who created this masterwork, will join us even though she’s driving over from Portland via the I-5 on a Friday night!

Why: This work is just so powerful and beautiful. Mallory addresses the ideas of disruption, repair and renewal focusing on the interference and disruptions in systems of nature and human cultures with this spectacular work through the inspirational lens of her Cherokee history. It is difficult to express why this work is so uplifting and joyful, which is why you need to experience it yourself. To learn more about Mallory and her arts practice, click here.

Cost: Free and open to the public
