What is #GivingTuesday?

#Giving Tuesday is a one-day annual movement focused on supporting your favorite charity and cause. Celebrated on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and the widely known shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many non-profit organizations are focused on end-of-year giving. Since its inaugural year in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy.

#GivingTuesday is meant to harness the power of social media and the generosity of people to bring about real change in their communities through charitable donations. On November 29, you will find many messages from charities on your social media accounts – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, and more. While you can donate to a charity at any time during the year, making your donation on #GivingTuesday is just a fun way to kick off the holiday season, and feel empowered by knowing that many others are pitching in, too!

The Native Arts and Cultures Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, which means we welcome your financial gift on November 29th, 2016, or really any day of the year! 🙂  $5 or $500 – anything you can give helps!

If you want to show your support and help us grow our programs to nurture, support and promote American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian arts and cultural practices on November 29th:

  • Make a secure donation online through our website – just click on SUPPORT and fill in the form. You will immediately receive an emailed receipt confirming your donation, and within 2-3 weeks a thank you letter from NACF.
  • Call 360-334-7286 if you would like to make a donation with your credit card but do not wish to use the form.
  • Mail a check, made out to the Native Arts and Cultures Foundation. We will send you a letter confirming your donation within 2-3 weeks.

Please remember that donations must be made by midnight of December 31, 2016 in order to qualify for any possible tax deductions (checks must be dated 12.31 or earlier).

Thank you for your support this holiday season – on November 29th or any day of the year!
