NACF attended the CultureSummit 2018 in Abu Dhabi

Native Arts and Cultures President/CEO Lulani Arquette attended Culture Summit 2018 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The high-level international summit brought together leaders from the worlds of government, arts, media and technology to collaborate and discuss in concrete ways that culture can play in addressing the great challenges of our time, from poverty and extremism to climate change and conflict.

This year’s program, titled Unexpected Collaborations, focused on partnerships that are unique, different, and which blend tradition and innovation. NACF President/CEO was also invited to speak on the panel discussion “Arts and Arts-Related Education in Marginalized and At-Risk Communities”.

The first CultureSummit was held in April of 2017 and brought together more than 450 participants from 80 countries to discuss cultural diplomacy as change agent for the digital age. The CultureSummit is organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi in conjunction with U.S. media firm The Rothkopf Group and global arts advisors TCP Ventures.
