usa-artists-with-logoEach year, United States Artists (USA) awards $50,000 fellowships to the country’s most accomplished and innovative artists working in the fields of Architecture & Design, Crafts, Dance, Literature, Media, Music, Theater & Performance, Traditional Arts and Visual Arts. USA Fellows are selected through a rigorous, highly competitive process involving hundreds of experts, scholars, administrators and artists.
We congratulate Vicky Holt Takamine (Native Hawaiian) and Raven Chacon (Navajo), both past recipients of Native Arts and Cultures Foundation Artist Fellowships and named 2016 USA Fellows! This recognition distinguishes Vicky and Raven among America’s most accomplished and innovative artists. We also offer our congratulations to filmmaker and visual artist Steven Paul Judd (Kiowa, Choctaw). We are thrilled to see such diverse representation of contemporary Native artists.
